Lake Winnipesaukee is located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, at the foothills of the White Mountains. The lake is the largest in the state and the 6th largest natural lake in the country, which lies completely within the borders of the United States. Surrounded by three mountain ranges, the wooded shoreline and crystal clear water of this spring-fed lake make it a popular summer resort destination. The lake has around 240 miles of shoreline and 365 islands; of which 274 of them are habitable. Being 28 miles long and 9 ½ miles at it’s widest point, the surface area of Lake Winnipesaukee is 72 square miles. Featured species include: Landlocked Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and Largemouth Bass.
