Length of Ride:
Day Tripper (100—400 miles)

Ride Overview:
Only the best route ever submitted to ride!

Ride Description:
This loop follows the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Maggie Valley and through some of the most spectacular scenery on the way. The Rattler is North Carolina's State Route 209 from Fines Creek to Hot Springs. A true feast for the senses. In the fall, the lush, mixed forest becomes a vibrant display of yellow and orange against an evergreen backdrop. In the spring, the rhododendron and Mountain Laurel make the fresh mountain air that much fresher. If you need a place to stay for the night, try fireside cottages in Maggie Valley, NC. The property offers a slice of heaven in the Smoky Mountains. Some cottages are located on the mountainside overlooking picturesque Soco Gap while others are creekside where you catch trout for dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of rushing water. Try horseback riding, a train ride through the mountains and observing the elk. Rider's Roost, located just about a one minute walk from the Fireside Cottages, offers country cooking at affordable prices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
